After a few afternoons where cloud prevented imaging, I was again able to find Mars well before sunset. The higher contrast features certainly assist with trying to attain best focus. Solis Lacus is at the top of the image with the Tythonius L section of Valles Marineris above centre. Aurorae Sinus is upper left of centre, with Nilokeras to the lower left of centre. Mare Acidalium is along the lower left limb.[Clyde Foster : Khomas,Namibia]
