A frustrating session with some hectic late afternoon winds peaking before sunset. The view is centred on Xanthe. Solis Lacus is at the upper right of the image with Valles Marineris extending above centre towards the right. Aurorae Sinus is above centre, with Nilokeras is below centre. Niliacus Lacus and Mare Acidalium are at lower left.Mare Erythraeum is at upper left, with maybe a hint of lightness over/in Argyre on the upper limb. Chryse/Xanthe extend to the left of centre. I must admit, I am pleasantry surprised that the typically light flash of Ophir/Candor still appears to be detected.[Clyde Foster : Khomas,Namibia]
