透明度が良かった。雲の通過が頻繁で途中で諦めた。かなり良かったのでカッシニの空隙をしっかり分かる。

We had good seeing on the morning of 10th August and I made an observation of Saturn. The view of the planet is rather interesting- there are a lot of pastel greens and blues which can be seen and in the good seeing there seems to be lots of subtle belts and zones- indeed I am now not completely certain which belts and zones are which!
Globe:
・SPR dusk but not as dark as it was in my first observation in July- this is probably due to the fact that the tilt is now smaller.
・SSTB and and STB seen with a lighter zone in between.
・The STropZ and STZ seems to contain a grenish tint.
・SEB doesn't seem to be double- there is a dark northern component but the the brown shading falls of and blends into the disk without a southern component.
・EZ a bright light yellow colour. SHrG seen in the EZ(s)
・NEB broand and does seem to contain two components although the NEB(s) is the darker component.
・A number of belts seen to the north, presumably the dark blue band must be the N3TB?
・NPR a vague dusky region.
Rings:
・A-Ring seems to be darker atr the edges of the rings.
・Cassini Division can be seen at the ansae edges
・B-ring yellowish colour.
・C-Ring contains a yellowish glow. ShGR seen on the preceeding side of the ansae.
An interesting aspect of tonights observations were the satellites Mimas and Tethys. At 0118UT, Mimas was located against the preceeding ansae but I couldn't detect it using powers of x460 and x638. Later at 0216UT Mimas was located against the edge of the A-Ring on the preceeding ansae but once again, I was unable to detect it. Of course this is no surprise really given that Mimas has an apparent magnitude of Mv~12.9 so it would be completely sawmped by the galre from the rings.
Tethys was close to the following ansae and was also lost in the glare. It became visible at 0215UT and is shown in drawing 2.
